I'm Juliana Šindelářová, I live in the Czech Republic, and I am happy to share my journey and passion for crafting handmade jewelry and accessories. I began exploring my creative journey at a very young age, and from my curiosity and experimentation with various materials and techniques grew a passion that continues to guide me.
From the earliest years, I can't even say when exactly, but from around the age of 6 I spent hours in our family garage, where I explored and worked with different materials and objects. Initially, I experimented with bending and cutting various materials, crafting objects such as animal silhouettes, small boxes, or birdhouses.
Later, I transitioned to crafting jewelry because I wanted my creations to be more than just items sitting on a shelf. I aimed to give purpose to my creative work and create something that could be practically used and worn daily, initially by my family. My first self-made piece of jewelry was a ring I crafted at the age of 14.
The idea that my jewelry can mean more than just fashion accessories inspires me. They can tell personal stories, complement the individuality of their wearers, and enhance the style of each customer. This desire to give meaning to my art drove me to start my journey in the world of jewelry-making. It is incredibly fulfilling for me to see how my work resonates and brings joy to others.
Wood was the predominant material I began my creative journey with. Its natural beauty and versatility fascinated me, leading me to focus on crafting jewelry from this material. Over time, I expanded my horizons and discovered other alternative materials such as epoxy resin, paper, textile, and metals. Working with these materials opened up new possibilities, allowing me to create jewelry with diverse textures, colors, and shapes.
Today, at the age of twenty-two, my passionate involvement in jewelry-making has become an integral part of my daily life. Sharing my creations with you brings me immense joy, and I hope that my jewelry will inspire and accompany you in your everyday life.
